Easter
Cards have joined the much loved Easter traditions of chocolate, hot cross buns, bunnies and going to church!
Sending cards appears to have stemmed from stationery suppliers noting that people sent blank cards, particularly from Catholic countries such as Poland & Italy, so they began to dedicated sections for bunny and egg bedecked cards. There’s no specific date for when people started sending cards, but it appears to have caught on here too with people requesting more cards each year.
With Easter coming up early April, most people's attentions will be turning to preparations for the Easter holiday, and the longer school holiday break. Not forgetting that here in New Zealand it coincides with the seasonal change of mid-autumn.
Our selection here at Live Wires has been selling fast. Still some available with the more traditional bunnies and eggs from Madam Treacle, Roger La Borde, Rachel Ellen and Caroline Gardner.
Order now to be sure you’ll have them in stock for Easter.
