Enamelware designed by Tanya Wolfkamp
Although quality baked enamelware immediately conjures up campfires and summers at the bach, it has become popular for everyday use because of its lightness, sturdiness and easy care properties.
Tanya has created two designs for our first enamelware range – Backcountry Huts and Lighthouses. There are four pieces – platter, bowl, mug and tumbler, all sold individually.
The tumbler is an all-purpose shape designed for use as a water cup, toothbrush holder, pens or anything fit for purpose. The mug is an attractive new rounded shape which gives it a point of difference. The bowl, perfect for serving or general eating and the ‘plate’ is really a platter! Great to use at home, perfect for BBQ’s, shared meals or other summer eating.
Tanya’s Backcountry Hut designs are modelled on our authentic NZ huts, found in our native bush. Although most of these huts are out in the open she felt her designs worked better placed amongst the trees.
The Lighthouse design is an iconic image for our coastal country. Their striking shape is styled in a woodcut print form, evoking our nautical heritage.
Tanya’s delightful addition of sea birds, the mug has the Campbell Island Albatross on the outside, Godwit on the inside. The bowl, Gannet on outside with Pied Stilt inside, and the Sooty Shearwater is on the tumbler. By adding the inclusion of the points of compass on the platter, she has enhanced her nautical themes.
The range is dishwasher safe but not to be used in the microwave.
